How can ANYONE believe in god after what's happening in Japan?

From what i learned its god testing people as a whole. When people say how come it happens in japan instead of a place where it should happen, you have to think that god is looking a people as a whole not as this group and that group. All the injustice in the world is where god makes natural disaster and its suppose to make people aware of whats happening and to change. I sometimes feel the same way you feel about how can god do this but we have to think about it. Also i really have a hard time accepting that people are a product of chance.
