Can anybody answer any of these questions?

I recommend reconsidering those questions from a standpoint that doesn't assume the existence of god or give any unearned credibility to the bible. It all becomes a lot less confusing when you don't have to put yourself through mental gymnastics to try to fit the facts of life into a predetermined and rigid belief system. Learn to have a belief system based on reality, rather than shape your idea of reality to match your beliefs.
